DEMAND PARTNER - ENTERPRISE PMO

This role sits within the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO), accountable for the management of Primark’s central demand management process which acts as a single front door for all investment and change initiatives across the business. This is a new role in the organisation and will be the central point of contact for business owners and strategic pillar sponsors which will involve engaging with business stakeholders to collate, screen and assess demand, facilitating the estimation and sizing of demand, as well as supporting in the determination of the impact of the demand across the business and the multiyear change plan.
The Demand Partner will also be responsible for tracking and reporting on the status of demand on the enterprise-wide portfolio, as well as the identification of any dependencies and risks of demand across the enterprise wide portfolio.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO AS A DEMAND PARTNER

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:

  • Implement and Manage a Central Demand Management process for all investment and change activity.
  • Assess and screen Demand, ensuring all initiatives meet the demand criteria
  • Ensure the appropriate categorization and routing of initiatives through relevant governance fora, submitted through the demand management processes.
  • Facilitate cross functional sizing of all new demand in conjunction with strategy, finance, technology and various stakeholders across the business.
  • Work in collaboration with the EPMO team and stakeholder across the business to ensure demand is fully understood, sized and progressed for prioritisation into the multiyear investment and change plan
  • Development and management of demand reporting across a multi-year portfolio plan and strategic pillars.
  • Develops, maintains and reports performance metrics of the demand management process including the identification of impacts, dependencies, issues and risks across the multiyear plan
  • Responsible for effectively communicating the demand management process and ensuring consistent use of associated communication tools, including SharePoint, internal communication channels, and other relevant platforms
  • Drive consistency across the enterprise portfolio ensuring adherence to the Investment and Change Process as well as the overarching govenrnace framework.
  • Supporting the development and operation of an end to end demand management process that incorporates all relevant components of business wide frameworks
  • Maintain an overview of updates and additions to approved and non-approved demand as per strategic decision making and in line with governance driven commitments
  • Working with business stakeholders, ensure demand management processes remain relevant, appropriate, and effective, evolving them (where necessary) to support changing business needs and best practice

  • Educated to degree level and have at least 5-8 years’ experience in a Portfolio Management Office / PMO.
  • Formal Project Management or Portfolio Management qualification (PMP/IPMA/PRINCE 2 Practitioner).
  • Significant Project Portfolio Management and demand management experience gained through several complex and varied environments.
  • Experience of working with teams using a wide variety of change frameworks and methodologies (traditional waterfall and iterative/agile delivery and process improvement methodologies).
  • Experience of using PPM Tools e.g. Planisware
