DEMAND PLANNER

The Demand Planner is responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and products. The Demand Planner creates and maintains forecast models for their customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from Sales, Marketing, Finance, retailer replenishment analysts, and other sources. The Demand Planner is the integration point into the sales and commercial organization. This position leads the dialogue each month with key counterparts in Sales and Marketing.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Your main focus:

 

  • Own the complete sku forecast: gather and analyze historical sales trends, seasonality, and demand drivers; execute statistical modelling; and evaluate forecast results.
  • Interact with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Supply Chain to understand demand forecast drivers: promotional plans, Nielsen data, marketing campaigns, flyer activities, etc.
  • Lead cross-functional consensus reviews to align the forecast valuation and reconcile significant variances vs assumptions and financial plan.
  • Provide input to the organization related to forecasting: new products, discontinuations, expansions, what-if scenarios, etc.
  • Continuously improve forecast accuracy

 QUALIFICATIONS

 

We’d love to see candidates who have:

 

Essential:

 

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain or related field
  • 2-3 years Demand Planning experience
  • Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of demand planning process within Consumer Packaged Goods Industry
  • Good communication skills
  • Detailed oriented
  • Ability to lead cross-functionally
  • Ability to elevate strategic concerns to senior management
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to
  • changing priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Salary: $68,657.00 CAD
