As part of the IFP EMEA Supply Chain team, this role is responsible for providing the timely creation and communication of robust market demand to enable the delivery of Customer Service, Working Capital target and Operating profit goals.
This role will be contact point for Kimberly Clark Supply Chain to drive customer excellence, focusing on customer service levels, forecast accuracy and Customer Collaboration, and representing KC as a professional and reliable supplier.
Demand Planner will translate consumer/sales demand, promotions, product introduction & rollover plans into an agreed forecast of market requirements on an on-going 24 month rolling basis, keeping systems and other information flows up to date. And support continuous improvements on Demand Planning systems, meetings and processes. You will work closely with Country LT, Sales, Finance, Customer Order Management, Supply Chain Services and Logistics.
The identification and delivery of process and capability improvement, and Cost Transformation and inventory optimisation opportunities are expected in order to deliver team and business objectives

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and continuously drive improvements in process and outputs of demand forecast (like Forecast Reconciliation and MBO sign off release process) as part of Golden S&OP cycle – IFP categories
  • Develop and maintain a monthly demand schedule by maintaining a 24 month rolling forecast at invoice SKU and location level.
  • Ensure an accurate up to date view of market demand by maintaining a robust rolling forecast at the agreed level and time horizons required for planning and commercial decision making.
  • Ensure the utilization of statistical demand planning system capabilities and drive system usage improvements.
  • Manage the monthly MBO sign off / Demand Review forecast release process.
  • Drive improvements in forecast accuracy and bias.
  • Manage forecast locations splits, roll-overs and allocation rules to optimise service and reduce obsolescence / slow movers and cost exposure as well as DIO targets.
  • Understand and communicate supply chain impacts and solutions (when appropriate) of category-specific business plans as well as recommendation of SKU optimization.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain and S&OP colleagues in support of tactical execution which meets business objectives.
  • Short-term management/coordination of the execution of plans, communication of changes, issues and shortages, avoidance of obsolete products and stock run outs.
  • Provide forecast insights and recommendations for quarterly financial & budget process, and category specific projects, innovation and strategies Short-term management/coordination of the execution of plans, communication of changes, issues and shortages, avoidance of obsolete products and stock run outs.
  • Effectively utilise independent analysis of available data streams and information (category sales history, past promotional/event history, customer sales & inventory data, customer collaboration & insights etc), in order to drive forecast improvements.
  • Support implementation of demand management best practices/strategies across the IFP EMEA organization.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA, BSc) or equivalent.
  • 2 to 4 year experience in forecasting or sales and operations planning (S&OP) environment or with a proven track record in Supply Chain;
  • Fluent in English & Dutch;
  • Highly numerate; excellent analytical skills including data manipulation;
  • Flexible approach - excellent leadership skills together with strong team ethic;
  • Experience of SAP ECC, APO, Prevail 10, MS EXCEL®, BW or similar systems desirable;
  • Experience within supply chain forecasting and EPOS tracking or similar;
  • Excellent collaboration skills that would allow you to successfully manage these important customer relationships;
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills and ability to respond positively under pressure are essential;The successful candidate should have a proven record of improving results, needs to be self-starting, autonomous and able to challenge the status quo. Strong influencing skills are required. You must also be able to react to rapidly changing priorities, quickly make decisions and recommendations and remain calm under pressure
