QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three to five years’ related experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain and/or Operations Management; CPIM/CSCP certificate considered an asset.
  • Experience using ERP software and forecasting techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow through and resolve outstanding issues on a timely basis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; collaborative and encouraging approach.
  • Self-motivated; is accountable and takes ownership of the role.
  • Results oriented with a proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills and numerical aptitude.

  • Experience using a computerized warehouse management/inventory system; strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel; Office applications).

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and report on supply chain metrics to the Plant Manager
  • Responsible for all the production scheduling, order management with third party warehouse, coordinating.
  • Prepare weekly and daily schedules of SKU’s to be produced.
  • Analyze production reports to find out constraints in the system and work on process improvement.
  • Ensure that all customer orders are shipped as per schedule, manage the inventory levels.
  • Participate in cycle counting and month end inventory counting on a need-to-basis to ensure all raw materials and packaging are available to execute the scheduled production of finished goods.
  • Assist the sales department with required sales order information, inventory, samples, and day to day communication to ensure the customer needs are satisfied.
  • Maintain constant communication with all departments of the company to plan for multiple scenarios and foresee any challenges related to equipment availability, labor, raw materials, packaging, etc.
  • Coordinate with warehouse team, third party warehouse, purchasing & logistics, and order desk to ensure customer orders are shipped/delivered on time.
  • Identifies and addresses safety hazards, maintains strict adherence with Workspace B.C. regulations and Company safety programs.
  • Ensure that all food safety standards and company quality assurance standards are met.
  • Performs other duties as required and/or assigned.
