Responsibilities: Demand Forecasting and Planning

Develop, maintain, and continuously improve demand forecasts across various time horizons, SKUs, and distribution channels.

Integrate point-of-sale (POS) data, shipment history, promotional calendars, and market trends to generate reliable and robust forecasts.

Utilize advanced Excel tools and models—including pivot tables, scenario modeling, complex formulas, and automation—to support forecasting and planning decisions.

Cross-functional Collaboration

Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to incorporate customer strategies, promotions, and new product launches into demand plans.

Lead forecast reviews and consensus-building discussions within the SIOP/IBP process.

Collaborate with Supply Planning and Finance teams to align forecasts with inventory targets and financial plans.

Major Retailers and Sales Data Integration

Leverage in-depth knowledge of demand trends and replenishment requirements specific to major retailers to enhance forecast accuracy and service levels.

Address the specific needs and forecasting cycles of accounts such as Walmart, Target, Costco, and other comparable partners.

Performance Monitoring and Analysis

Monitor forecast accuracy, bias, and key planning-related performance indicators; prepare clear, actionable reports for management.

Analyze forecast variances, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to improve future outcomes. Continuous improvement

Identify opportunities to improve demand planning processes, data quality, and planning tools.

Support planning for new product launches, seasonal demand fluctuations, and evolving consumer purchasing behaviors.
