The Role
As the Demand Planner you will be responsible for ensuring accurate forecasts are created and maintained for the UK Direct & Distributor markets using historical trends, sell through data and sales plans. Collaborating with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing and Operations, you will be the owner of the forecast and ensuring high levels of forecast accuracy, optimised stock and highlighting risks/opportunities vs the financial budget.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:

We’re looking for a high potential individual to grow with Tangle Teezer – minimum 1-2 years business experience working in Demand Planning, Supply Planning or Operations
Proficient excel user with aptitude to develop skills, experience with Dynamics NAV, AGR or other MRP preferred
Strong communication skills, ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
High attention to detail with excellent analytical and numerical skills
Proactive, can-do attitude and desire to improve processes and outputs

Responsibilities

Be responsible for creating accurate rolling 18-month demand forecasts using customers’ inventory and sell-through data, historical trends, and best practice planning methodology
Use statistical data and modelling to generate forecasts where robust forecasts aren’t available
Collaborate with the Production & Purchasing Planner to ensure the agreed demand plan is achievable in regard to production capabilities and to fulfil customer needs
Highlight any risks/opportunities vs the financial plan in the monthly S&OP process
Input into the product lifecycle management process and review ABC classifications
Build strong relationships with the Sales team, gaining in-depth knowledge of the product catalogue and customer needs
Support the automation of customer forecasting and drive efficiency improvements through data analysis
Lead mini-projects focused on automating sales forecasting and improving data-driven decision-making
Collaborate with team members to challenge and provide insights that enhance sales and operational processes
