Overview SodaStream is seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Demand Planning Analyst to join our Australian team. This pivotal role is integral to the sales and supply team, collaborating closely with both the Australian team and our counterparts in Israel to ensure accurate forecasting and optimal inventory management. You will drive the demand planning process, providing rigor and structure to the Sales and Supply Planning team using advanced demand planning tools and a strong understanding of Integrated Business Planning (IBP). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in FMCG demand planning, exceptional communication skills, and a proactive ownership mindset to propel the business forward. Responsibilities Demand Forecasting & Analysis: Develop and maintain accurate 0–24-month demand forecasts at the brand, SKU, and location level, incorporating historical sales data, market trends, promotional activities, and inputs from sales, marketing, and finance teams. Analyse forecast errors, conduct root cause analysis, and implement action plans to improve accuracy and minimize stock write-offs. IBP Process Leadership: Lead and facilitate key IBP forums, including one-on-one meetings, pre-demand reviews, demand/supply connects, and consensus forecasting sessions. Ensure alignment between demand plans and supply capabilities to achieve optimal customer service levels and inventory optimization. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders in Australia and at Head office, including Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance, to gather inputs, challenge assumptions, and harmonize supply/demand balance. Collaborate with supply planners to adjust forecasts based on feedback and resolve short-term supply constraints. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, bias, service levels, and inventory turnover. Provide actionable insights through data analysis to support business decisions and continuous improvement in demand planning processes. Process Improvement & Tool Utilization: Utilize demand planning tools to enhance forecasting rigor. Identify opportunities for process enhancements, support new product introductions and deletions, and drive initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency across the supply chain. Qualifications Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in demand planning or supply chain roles within the FMCG sector, with demonstrated expertise in managing forecasts for major brands or categories. Proven experience with Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes is essential. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in demand planning tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar), data analytics, and forecasting software. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to influence stakeholders at all levels. Education: A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, statistics, logistics, or a related field is highly regarded. - Personal Attributes: A team player who is proactive, self-motivated, and takes ownership of the role to drive business growth.
