Manager Demand Planning
Reporting to the VP S&OP and Customer Service, the Manager Demand Planning is responsible for delivering an accurate consensus sales forecast across North American markets (US & Canada) by leading the SIOP process. This role effectively partners with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to improve forecast accuracy and service levels.
This is a hybrid position that will require at least 3x/week on-site working at our Montreal office.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in demand, supply or production planning, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in managing a team
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field
  • Proficiency with forecasting and planning tools, experience with D365 is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build strong and productive relationships with cross-functional teams
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Ability to present data in a succinct and relevant way
  • Advanced technical skills (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)
  • ASCM or IBF certification is an asset

Responsibilities
  • Own the 18-month finished goods demand forecast for all items sold in US and Canada.
  • Oversee a team of 3 Demand Planning Specialists.
  • Develop and maintain SKU level forecasts for PFX’s top customer in Canada using historical sales data, market trends and customer input.
  • Utilize D365 forecasting tool to improve forecast accuracy and reduce variability.
  • Lead the monthly demand planning process with Sales, Demand Planners and Category Managers to understand demand changes and market intelligence integrated into the consensus sales forecast. Take ownership of the explanation of the changes versus prior projections.
  • Clearly communicate and document assumptions, risks, and opportunities used to align demand plans with business objectives.
  • Provide weekly and monthly forecast reports and root cause analysis.
  • Develop a centralized monitoring dashboard for all demand planning KPIs (e.g. forecast accuracy, bias). Be able to interpret and explain the results and drive corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Participate in customer collaboration meetings with Sales.
  • Work closely with the Master Planning Managers and Supply Chain to assess plants’ ability to meet expected demand and identify potential inventory risks.
  • Identify opportunities to improve demand planning process tools and systems.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and continuous improvement projects.
