POSITION TITLE: Demand Planning Specialist DEPARTMENT: Supply Chain FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt Salary POSITION SUMMARY: This role serves as a key integration point between Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales and Operations. With the input of the Sales Team and key customers this role produces forecasts for finished goods and critical materials. Develops plans to optimize factory performance while maintaining a high level of customer service. Supports team in the expansion and development of ERP functionality, reporting and data integrity. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Leads S&OP, Capacity Planning and SKU rationalization processes * Develops sales driven finished goods forecasts * Develops detailed mid and long-range production and labor plans for all equipment in the facility. * Develops plans for critical ingredient and packaging forecasts * Supports development of ERP processes including integration with existing or new software applications * Develops Ad Hoc reports and analysis * Produces detailed, polished customer facing communications BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: * Very strong communicator with the ability to write reports, and customer facing business correspondence. * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of senior managers and peers. * Very strong business math skills * Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. * Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in mathematical, verbal or written form. * Able to deal with multiple variables and imperfect data sources. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED: * Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or other technical field. * 5 years minimum experience required * Broad understanding of supply chain and cold-chain processes * Broad understanding of manufacturing capabilities and constraints. * Expert at interpreting recipes, scale up and batching constraints * Knowledge of Navision or other ERP packages * Advanced at Excel *Job Descriptions are not intended to be exhaustive lists of all responsibilities, skills or efforts.
