An NVQ level 2 (or above) certificate in Health and Social Care is essential for this role along with 6 months minimum experience within a Dementia setting.
RATES OF PAY:
NVQ level 2 in Health and Social care: £13.27 per hour
NVQ level 3 in Health and Social care: £14.10 per hour
Introduction to the role
Are you an individual that has previous care experience within a dementia setting? Do you have a NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care? We are seeking experienced individuals who have the above, and can demonstrate a positive nature and a passion for person-led care. Our ambition is to change the way people with dementia are supported and the role of Dementia Support Worker is vital to our success.
As a Dementia Support Worker, you will help us to ensure that people are treated with respect and dignity. Your approach will be empathetic, compassionate, and focused on ensuring that the lives of residents are fulfilled and meaningful.
In specially designed communities, you will engage with individuals who are on their Dementia journey, ensuring you understand their needs, encourage, assist, and support people to participate in appropriate leisure activities and activities of daily living, normalising life as much as possible with joy and happiness. This role does involve aspects of personal care and you may support individuals who show signs of distress. With support from the team, you will receive tailored dementia training to enhance your skills and the lives of those you will support.
