Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Join Cliveden Dining as a Demi Chef and play a vital role in supporting kitchen operations by preparing and presenting high-quality dishes with creativity and flair. Assist senior chefs in menu preparation, stock control, and maintaining cleanliness, while upholding the highest food hygiene and safety standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Trade qualification in commercial cookery or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a Demi Chef or Commis Chef in a busy kitchen
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Full legal work rights to work in Australia to be considered for this role
    Additional Information
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present menu items consistent with hotel standards and cost margins
  • Assist with stock rotation, ordering, and minimising food wastage
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe kitchen environment
  • Support senior chefs with daily kitchen and event operations
  • Train and support junior kitchen staff as needed
  • Follow health, safety, and food hygiene policies strictly
