What We Expect of You * Valid Australian Working Rights is essential. * Background in high-volume commercial kitchen OR in luxury hotel environment is advantageous. * A passion for culinary artistry and a desire to innovate in the kitchen. * A solid grasp of cooking techniques and a curiosity to learn more. * Keen to take on new challenges and grow within your career. * Qualifications in Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent are preferred. * Current Food Safety Certification and working knowledge of HACCP principles is a big plus * Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends, public holidays, and early mornings A Glance at What You Will Do * Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes in line with hotel standards. * Deliver consistency in taste, texture, and presentation, no matter how busy the service. * Ensure all mise en place is completed for service and replenished as required. * Follow recipes, portion controls, and kitchen procedures accurately. * Support in the creation and testing of new menu items under supervision. * Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas. * Play as part of a high-energy, close-knit kitchen crew. * Assist in stock control, rotation, and reporting shortages to supervisors. * Uphold hotel brand standards and contribute to a positive guest experience.
