About Country Club:

Country Club Tasmania is entering an exciting new chapter, with major precinct renovations underway, the opening of The Range, and a new par 72, 18-hole Championship Golf Course set to launch in Summer 2026/27.

With restaurants, bars, accommodation and entertainment all in one parkland location, it’s a great time to join our kitchen team as we grow into this next stage.

We’re looking for passionate Demi Chefs and a Chef de Partie who are ready to be part of something fresh and exciting.

What you can expect in a day in these roles:

In these roles, you’ll be part of a busy, supportive kitchen team, helping deliver high-quality food and memorable dining experiences across Country Club Tasmania.

  • Prepare high-quality dishes to recipe, menu and presentation standards.
  • Assist with day-to-day operations supporting the Head Chef and running operations in the Head Chef's absence
  • Help to lead a positive and collaborative team culture
  • Support quality and consistency before, during and after service.
  • Guide, support, and train junior kitchen team members, including cooks, commis and demi chefs.
  • Manage portion control, stock rotation and waste reduction while keeping your station organised.
  • Maintain strong food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.

Demi Chef

As a Demi Chef, you’ll support the delivery of high-quality food and service while continuing to grow your skills in a busy, supportive kitchen environment.

  • Prepare and present dishes to a high standard.
  • Follow recipes, kitchen procedures and operational par levels.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment.
  • Support and train other kitchen team members when required.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture

What you will bring to the role:

To succeed in these roles, you’ll bring a positive, team-focused approach, strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a busy kitchen. You’ll also hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent trade qualification, and flexibility to work a range of shifts including night, weekends and public holidays.

You will also bring:

  • At least 3 years of post-qualification experience
  • Experience coaching, mentoring or supporting junior kitchen team members.
