ELENI GROUP is looking for a passionate sous-chef for a new project in Saint-Aubin on Lake Neuchâtel for a hotel restaurant.

As part of carrying out their duties, the kitchen team assists the Head Chef, and must in particular:

Kitchen delivery & maintenance:

To work towards the quality and smooth execution of shipments
Participate in the implementation
Check the preparations (taste and make adjustments)
Prepare the dishes on the menu according to the technical specifications, under the direction of the Head Chef.
Plate and send out the dishes
Being able to fulfill special orders at the request of customers
Develop the technical specifications for the new dishes with the Head Chef
Ensure that dishes are prepared in accordance with hygiene and quality standards.
To be proactive in suggesting ways to enhance the dishes on the menu and menu updates

Kitchen team management:

Verify that subordinates are correctly performing their tasks.
Plan the tasks for the brigade according to the Head Chef's instructions.
In the absence of the Head Chef, take the lead in the kitchen (defining priorities, distributing tasks, delegating, organizing workstations)
Training cooks and kitchen assistants

Orders & Costs:

Ensure that inventories are carried out
Control the stocks
Check the quantity and quality of deliveries
Ensure that food products are stored according to their categories (meat, fish, vegetables, etc.)
Assist the Head Chef in identifying ordering needs
Assist the Head Chef in placing orders with his suppliers

Technical & Maintenance:

Check that the equipment and machines are properly maintained.
Report technical problems requiring intervention from outside of management
Take temperature readings

Salary: CHF 3,725.00 to CHF 4,200.00 per month
