Job Description As a Demi Chef de Partie at Ibis Wellington, you'll be a key player in our kitchen, whipping up delectable delights that keep our guests coming back for more. From sizzling starters to mouthwatering mains, your culinary artistry will be the secret ingredient to our success. Key Duties Act as the orchestrator of each food service, ensuring efficiency and productivity are the main ingredients. Liaise with the Head Chef, Sous Chef and Chef de Parties, maintaining open lines of communication between the food and beverage production and service areas. Coordinate food production and the kitchen brigade to meet food preparation and service requirements. Ensure all food produced aligns with kitchen recipes and standards. Prepare and cook all food orders with a sense of urgency. Maintain cleanliness in the work area, equipment, and section, adhering to current health and hygiene regulations. Monitor daily kitchen food and product requirements, advising the Head Chef well in advance. Control food preparation and wastage costs by following efficient preparation methods and standard recipes. Embrace any other reasonable request as required by Hotel Management. Qualifications Passion for food Previous experience in a similar role Available 7 days a week on a rotating roster Team player and hard worker Strong A la carte experience Copes well under pressure Able to produce quality food product for all outlets A flexible approach to adapting to guest needs You will have NZ residency or be holding a permanent NZ work visa.
