Daikan Izakaya, City Walk a premier destination for Japanese cuisine, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Demi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. In this role, you will support the Chef de Partie in managing a specific kitchen section, aiding in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior experience in a similar role within a professional kitchen is preferred.
  • Basic culinary skills and a strong desire to learn and develop in Japanese cuisine.
  • Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent training is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities


    • Support in Food Preparation: Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing ingredients and cooking dishes, ensuring all standards and recipes are strictly followed.

    • Quality Control: Maintain consistency in taste and presentation of dishes in your section, regularly checking ingredients for freshness and quality.
    • Cooking Skills Development: Actively engage in developing your culinary skills and techniques, learning from senior kitchen staff.
    • Kitchen Hygiene: Keep your workstation organized, clean, and compliant with health and safety regulations, practicing proper food handling and sanitation.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team, communicating effectively to ensure smooth operations and timely service during meal periods.
    • Inventory Assistance: Help in the management and organization of kitchen supplies, ensuring all ingredients are well-stocked and fresh.
    • Team Support: Provide assistance to junior kitchen staff, sharing knowledge and promoting teamwork within the kitchen.
