JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Demi Chef de Partie with expertise in Japanese cuisine, particularly ramen preparation, to join our team at our new SLRP store. The DCDP will assist the Chef de Partie in managing their section, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficient kitchen operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or senior Commis in Japanese cuisine.
  • Hands-on experience with ramen preparation and Japanese culinary techniques.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Understanding of food safety and HACCP standards.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Culinary certification or formal Japanese cuisine training is an advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Chef de Partie in the preparation and cooking of Japanese dishes, focusing on ramen (broth, tare, noodles, toppings).
  • Ensure that food is prepared to the highest standards of taste, quality, and presentation.
  • Assist in supervising and guiding Commis chefs and kitchen helpers within your section.
  • Maintain mise en place and ensure all ingredients are prepped and ready for service.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the CDP or Sous Chef.
  • Follow proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients to maintain freshness.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
  • Work efficiently under pressure during peak service periods.
  • Support in new menu development and suggest improvements where possible.
