QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert presentation.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality desserts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation, baking, and presentation of a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
  • Follow recipes and guidelines to maintain quality and consistency.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of all ingredients and products.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pastry section, following hygiene and safety standards.
  • Assist in the development of new pastry items and seasonal menu updates.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the Chef de Partie and Head Pastry Chef for stock replenishment.
  • Train and guide junior pastry staff when required.
