Longueville Manor is the 1st and only 5 red AA star Hotel, with one Michelin key in the Channel Islands. It is situated a mile to the east of St. Helier, the capital of the Island of Jersey. The island is fringed with miles of sandy beaches and is frequently blessed with the longest hours of sunshine in the UK. Set in 17 acres of parkland, this 13th century Norman manor house has been lovingly restored and run as a hotel by the Lewis family for over 75 years.
Today, the hotel has 22 double rooms, 6 suites and a 2 bedroom cottage, with a 3AA rosette restaurant, which enjoys a strong local following as well as an international reputation and is the only Relais & Châteaux member in the Channel Islands.
Job Description

Are you passionate about pastry, brimming with creativity, and eager to take the next step in your culinary career? We’re looking for a Demi Chef de Partie (Pastry) to join our vibrant and fast-paced kitchen team.

  • Supporting the CDPP in the smooth, daily running of the pastry section
  • Preparing, producing, and presenting high-quality pastry items with an eye for detail and excellence
  • Maintaining the highest hygiene and cleanliness standards in the kitchen
  • Ensuring equipment and utensils are cared for and used safely
  • Contributing to the development of innovative desserts, chocolates, breads, and ice creams
  • Communicating any challenges or improvements with the CDPP and Head Pastry Chef

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Demi Chef de Partie (Pastry)

  • A culinary and pastry qualification
  • Expertise in chocolate, ice cream, breads, and a range of pastries
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach to kitchen duties
Responsibilities
  • £29328.00 per annum
  • On average tips are £3000 per annum
  • 40 hours over a 5-day week
