Description

Your role

As Demi Chef de Partie at Boca, you support your Chef de Partie and the wider kitchen team in bringing our Mediterranean-inspired menu to life. You contribute to the preparation of dishes with consistency, care, and attention to detail, while developing your technical skills and confidence. You take pride in your work, stay curious, and actively learn within a collaborative kitchen environment. Your key accountabilities are:

Prepare, cook and plate dishes to standard

Support the execution of recipes with consistency, ensuring every dish meets Boca’s quality and presentation standards.

Support the development of the Boca Menu

Assist the Chef de Partie, Head Chef, and Sous Chef by sharing ideas and feedback for menu improvements in line with the Boca Menu Brief and Concept.

Actively learn and support junior team members

Develop your skills by learning from senior chefs, while supporting commis chefs and apprentices in daily tasks where appropriate.

Support section operations

Assist in monitoring ordering volumes, stock rotation, portioning, and preparation levels. Communicate issues or improvement opportunities to your Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, or Head of Production.

Maintain kitchen standards

Ensure your section is clean, organised, and inspection ready at all times. Follow HACCP, hygiene, and safety procedures with diligence and care.

Who we are looking for

You are a motivated and developing cook who values craftsmanship, teamwork, and flavour. You work with focus and pride, are eager to learn, and thrive in a fast-paced, supportive kitchen. With curiosity and care, you help bring Boca’s Mediterranean spirit to life—serving dishes that are simple, seasonal, and full of character.

Our benefits

  • Appreciation & Communication: Work in an environment where respect and open dialogue are genuinely valued.
  • Food & Breaks: Enjoy high-quality meals from our own restaurant during your breaks.
  • Exciting Concept: Be part of one of Vienna’s most innovative hotel projects. As an owner-operated hotel, we value creativity and offer a relaxed, collaborative work culture.
  • Fair Time Policy: Overtime is recorded and compensated — support the team without worrying about going unpaid.
  • Public Transport: We fully cover a 365-day public transport pass for all employees.
  • Annual Leave: All employees, regardless of pay grade or tenure, receive 30 days of leave per year.
  • MyClubs Fitness: Train completely free with over 1,000 providers across Austria, including yoga, climbing & bouldering, Pilates, spinning & cycling, Zumba, boxing, martial arts, tennis, golf and more.
  • Trainings & Development: Continuous internal and external training programs ensure your growth and career progression.
  • Partner Discounts: Enjoy numerous discounts with our partners, up to 50%.

The salary for this position is based on the Austrian collective agreement for the hotel industry; for pay group 3, it amounts to at least € 2.263,00 gross per month. Salary considerations will be based on experience and individual qualifications.
