Responsibilities

As a Demi Chef, you will be reporting to the Executive Chef and supported by other senior members of the kitchen brigade. Dining options offered at RACV Noosa Resort include: Buffet breakfast in our Arcuri Restaurant, bar service for lunch and dinner, poolside service, in room dining and our popular pizzeria overlooking the infinity pool. In addition, RACV Noosa Resort caters for large corporate groups utilising our conference and event facilities.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Serve a consistent high-quality product;
  • Perform knife skills, mis en place, cooking techniques & duties;
  • Maintain equipment, utensils and a clean & hygienic kitchen;
  • Manage the regular rotation of stock, ensuring there is minimal wastage;
  • Continually update knowledge and skills in the procedures and techniques and gain a broad understanding of all sections of the Kitchen; and
  • Follow directions from senior chefs and work as a team player

Availability and flexibility to work a roster across nights, weekends & public holidays will be highly regarded for this role. Typical shift pattern is 1.30pm - 9.30pm
