Role Overview The Demurrage Analyst will own the end-to-end demurrage and detention process across all mine sites we operate. The role ensures accurate calculation, timely invoicing, and full tracking of demurrage to clients and from transporters. The Demurrage Analyst will act as the control tower - validating data, performing manual calculations where needed, and driving recovery through Commercial teams. Key Responsibilities Monitoring & Calculation Daily monitoring of completed JOBs with accumulated demurrage across all mine locations in the ERP system for both imports and exports. AdHoc Calculations: Generate manual calculations upon KAM/CSM request per client contract terms and local site rules. Invoicing & Client Support Generate Proforma Invoice and Final Demurrage Calculation and send to respective CSM/KAM for negotiation and issuance. Support CSM/KAM with PODs, SF event logs, and operational data during client discussions. Dispute & Investigation: Handle client feedback/disputes. Perform manual recalculation, validate against SF events, PODs, and ops data. Provide clear analysis and recommendation. Tracker & Reporting Maintain Master Demurrage Tracker for all sites: Demurrage to Client and demurrage from Transporter. Analyze transporter claims: verify validity and recommend payable amount to KAM for approval. Send weekly/monthly status reports to KAMs on demurrage positions by client and by site to drive invoicing and collections. Data Quality & Automation Support Validate ERP system event tagging, especially for border clearing and mine gate in/out events. Flag gaps affecting calculation accuracy. Work with Operations teams at each mine to confirm actual dates when SF data is missing/incorrect. Provide feedback to Automation team to improve triggers. Role Requirements Experience: 3-5 years in Freight Forwarding, Mining Logistics, or Shipping. Demurrage/Detention experience required Multi-site exposure: Experience across multiple mine sites or countries is a plus Systems: Advanced Excel. Experience with event-based data and JOB lifecycle. Need to be comfortable with a lot of data. Commercial + Operational: Understands contracts, SLAs, and how mine operations impact demurrage Analytical: Strong attention to detail. Can reconcile dates across PODs, System, and transporter documents Communication: Clear in explaining calculations and status to KAMs, CSMs, and Ops Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in documentation, client feedback, and exception handling.
