JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care and support to our dental team. This role involves assisting with various dental procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the clinic. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for patients while adhering to all safety and hygiene protocols.

EXPERIENCE

Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix is preferred.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology is essential.
  • Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques is required.
  • Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is a MUST!!!!
  • Ability to operate 3D scanners and perform medical coding/documentation tasks is beneficial. Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
  • Take X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and post-operative care.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and assist with dental receptionist duties as needed.
  • Perform vital signs checks and assist in medical imaging as required.
  • Uphold infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality care in areas such as general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and more.
