As a Dental Assistant on our team, you will play a pivotal role in creating a comfortable, safe, and efficient environment for pediatric patients. You’ll assist in delivering preventive and restorative dental treatments, support the dentist and hygienist, and help shape the overall patient experience from check-in to dismissal. Work in a supportive, child-centric practice that values positivity and respect Opportunity to grow your career in pediatric dentistry Continuing education and training support A culture that emphasizes teamwork, patient care, and work/life balance Key Responsibilities: Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and supplies for pediatric dental procedures Assist the dentist and hygienist chairside (e.g. passing instruments, suction, mixing materials) Take and develop intraoral and extraoral radiographs (X-rays) Provide patient education to children and their guardians (infant hygiene, brushing/flossing technique, diet counseling) Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment, following infection control protocols Record and maintain accurate patient records and charts Monitor and stock supplies, order as needed Aid in behavior guidance and management techniques appropriate for children Assist in emergency procedures (e.g. basic life support) when required Support front office tasks as needed (e.g. scheduling follow-ups, patient check-in/out) Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management Qualifications: Dental Assistant certification or credentials (as required by state) Radiography certification (or ability to become certified) Prior experience with pediatric dental patients preferred Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young patients Ability to multitask and stay composed in a dynamic environment CPR / BLS certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to work flexible hours Comprehensive Benefits Package: Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) Paid holidays Paid time off Join our team and be part of a practice dedicated to excellence in Pediatric care.
