JOB OVERVIEW

Dental Assistant – Certified (Aurora, ON)
We are looking for a certified dental assistant to join our friendly dental clinic in Aurora. The ideal candidate should be familiar with dental software and procedures, including patient charting and billing. Knowledge of The Fund (dental insurance/billing systems) is an asset. Preference will be given to candidates living nearby for ease of commute.

SKILLS

Candidates should possess the following skills:

  • Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry.
  • Experience in dental assisting, preferably in a clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is an advantage.
  • Previous experience as a dental receptionist is beneficial
  • Proficient in using Dentrix or other dental practice management software.

Pay: $20.49-$29.78 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.
