POSITION OVERVIEW

Our dynamic healthcare teams consist of approximately 750 professionals providing healthcare services coast-to-coast at 30 CAF locations across Canada.
Calian is currently seeking a full time Dental Assistant to work at CFB Winnipeg. The Dental Assistant functions as a member of the dental health care team.
(The clinic hours are 7:30am – 4pm. Monday – Friday, no evenings or weekends. Dental services are provided to active military members. No seniors, no children. )

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of an Accredited Level II Intra-oral dental assisting program
  • Minimum of 1 year of full-time equivalent experience providing clinical assistance in all disciplines of dentistry and performing intra-oral procedures
  • Registered to practice through the Manitoba Dental Association
  • NDAEB certification
  • CPR Level C with AED

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level

Responsibilities
  • Assist Dentists at chairside to perform wide range of dental procedures
  • Take, process, and mount dental radiographs
  • Perform wide range of dental laboratory procedures
  • Ensure instruments and equipment are sterilized and prepared for each patient treatment
  • Provide administrative support such as scheduling programs, and maintaining patient records
