JOB SUMMARY: Provide chair side assistance to the dental providers during examination and treatment of patients. Prepare patients and operatory for dental treatment including but not limited to preparing and arranging the dental instruments, restorative cement, materials and medications on the chair side tray. Sterilize instruments and equipment by using autoclave or chemical disinfectants as per CORNERSTONE infection control policies and OSHA guidelines. Take, develop, mount and file x-rays. Provide post-operative instructions and follow-up appointments for patients. Perform laboratory procedures by fabricating models from impressions taken by the dentist. Monitor patient’s prosthesis by logging cases leaving CORNERSTONE and returning from Dental Lab. Provide appointments for patients when prosthesis returns. Maintain orderly, well stocked and clean treatment rooms and lab. Assists the front office with patient registration, filing and pulling charts and making confirmation appointment calls as directed by the Dental Office Coordinator. Provide intake procedures, such as to obtain patient’s past and present medical histories, vital signs and record correct information in patient’s dental record. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Dental Assistant Certificate and at least 2 years of experience working as a dental assistant or 4 years of experience working as a Dental Assistant without a Dental Assistant Certificate Current BLS certification Bilingual preferred Travel to other Dental Cornerstone sites required Requirements Dental Assistant Certificate and at least 2 years of experience working as a dental assistant or 4 years of experience working as a Dental Assistant without a Dental Assistant Certificate Current BLS certification Bilingual Highly preferred Must be willing and able to travel
