Key Responsibilities: - Prepare patients for dental examinations by ensuring they are comfortable and informed about procedures. - Assist the dentist during exams and treatments by providing instruments, equipment, and materials as needed. - Create temporary restorations and scan teeth or implants for crowns and cavities. - Prepare operatories for patient visits, ensuring cleanliness and proper setup. - Attend to patient needs during their visit, including providing instructions and addressing concerns. - Assist with patient dismissal and follow-up procedures to ensure a positive experience. - Follow through on treatment plans as directed by the dentist and document procedures accurately. - Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure all dental equipment is properly sanitized and maintained. - Support administrative tasks as assigned by the Office Administrator to ensure efficient clinic operations. Skills and Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; dental assisting certification preferred. - Proven experience as a dental assistant or in a similar role is advantageous. - Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members. - Ability to follow instructions accurately and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to health and safety regulations. Requirements Qualifications and Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Successful completion of accredited dental assisting training program. Certification preferred. At least one (1) year experience in chairside dental assisting. Familiar with computers, preferably dental software packages. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
