JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our dental practice. This role requires a friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of dental terminology and procedures.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with dental software systems such as Opendental or any CAD is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of orthodontics and pediatrics will be considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
  • Experience in dental assisting can enhance your candidacy but is not mandatory.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients warmly as they arrive and assist them with check-in procedures.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar efficiently.
  • Handle patient inquiries regarding services, insurance, and billing information.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems such as Dentrix and Epic.
  • Process patient payments and manage financial transactions in accordance with office policies.
  • Assist in coordinating orthodontic and pediatric appointments as needed.
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.
  • Collaborate with dental assistants and other staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the office.
  • Stay updated on medical terminology and dental procedures to provide accurate information to patients.
