Dentologie is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant (at least 6 months of assisting experience required) to provide outstanding patient care in our office(s). Come be a part of something special! Schedule: As a full-time employee, we would ask that you are comfortable working Monday-Friday, 5 shifts per week (including 3 morning and 2 evening shifts). From Monday - Thursday our offices have a morning shift (7:30am-2:30pm) and an evening shift (1:30 or 2:30 pm-8:30pm). On Fridays, the shift is 7:30am-3:30pm. Dentologie is comprised of 13 office locations in the Chicagoland area, including: Andersonville, Belmont, Lincoln Park, South Loop, Streeterville, Bucktown, West Loop, Evanston, Clark & Diversey, Gold Coast, River North, Southport, and Oak Park/River Forest. Responsibilities: Perform a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties. Assist dentist chairside during examination and treatment of a variety of operative procedures. Provide a 10-star Patient experience. Prepares instruments and materials for the dentist for upcoming procedures. Provide direct patient care in all dental services, including restorative, ortho, pediatric, endo, periodontics, prosthodontics and OS. Passes dental instruments between provider and assistant (4-handed dentistry). Make patients as comfortable as possible in the dental chair while preparing them for treatment. Sterilize & disinfect instruments, equipment and operatories post treatment. Instruct patients on pre- and post-operative procedures and provide oral health education. Proficient in obtaining dental radiographs and intra-oral scans/photos. Keep treatment records such as charting existing restorations as well as planned treatment. Monitor daily supplies for restocking. Assist dentist in providing patients with instructions for oral care post-dental treatment procedures. Required Skills/Abilities: Required: minimum six months of assistant experience. Excellent verbal, interpersonal, customer service & written communication skills. Clinical knowledge, skills along with patient care. Prioritize and delegate tasks when appropriate. Function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Preferred: coronal polishing certificate.
