OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position requires a blend of clinical skills and administrative support, making it essential for candidates to be well-versed in various dental procedures and office management. Must be available on Monday 10am to 7pm, Wednesday 9am to 6pm, Friday 8am to 2pm, 1x Saturday per month 9am to 4pm.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with dental software systems such as Cleardent is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a sterile environment.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using software such as Dentrix or Epic.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the office.
  • Handle administrative tasks including billing, insurance verification, and patient communication.
  • Support orthodontic procedures and assist with pediatric dentistry as required.
  • Stay updated on medical terminology and advancements in dental assisting techniques.
