Description LINE OF RESPONSIBILITY: The Dental Assistant is under the direct supervision of the attending Dentist, and otherwise reports to the Dental Practice Manager. PURPOSE: To provide, with the Dentist, four-handed assistance, and the dental staff with quality care for patients. RESPONSIBILITIES: Clinical assisting. Taking radiographs. Maintaining instruments and machinery. Proper cleaning and sterilization of instruments and handpieces. Be current on new requirements for sterilization and maintenance. Inventory supplies. Maintaining stocked dental supplies. Accompany patients to/from waiting area. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Water line maintenance and flushing as needed. Operatory infection control Utilize patient mouth rinse prior to any procedures. Verify patient’s medications and health history, advise dentist. Requirements MA Dental Assisting License, Radiology certification or course that meets MA requirements Ability to travel between multiple organizational locations as needed Availability for this position is at our Worthington and Huntington sites
