KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Patient Experience & Support Greet and guide patients through their visit with warmth and professionalism Address questions and concerns with clarity and empathy Review and update medical histories to ensure accurate, comprehensive records Clinical & Chairside Excellence Assist the dentist during a variety of procedures, ensuring efficiency and patient comfort Anticipate provider needs and deliver instruments and materials seamlessly Support advanced procedures including crown and bridge, endodontics, and surgical treatments Treatment Room Preparation & Sterilization Prepare and break down operatories efficiently for each procedure Maintain strict adherence to infection control and OSHA protocols Sterilize instruments and manage clinical flow to keep the schedule running on time Patient Education & Case Support Provide clear post-operative instructions and oral hygiene guidance Assist in obtaining informed consent and reinforcing treatment plans Help patients feel confident and cared for throughout their treatment journey Lab & Clinical Support Tasks Perform lab duties such as pouring impressions, trimming models, and fabricating appliances Ensure accurate case documentation and lab communication Inventory & Organization Monitor clinical supplies and maintain organized operatories Assist with inventory tracking and ordering to ensure the team is always prepared Team Collaboration & Daily Operations Participate in daily huddles and contribute to a positive, solutions-focused team culture Complete assigned checklists to support smooth daily operations Communicate effectively with front office team for scheduling and patient handoffs Follow-Up & Continuity of Care Coordinate follow-up appointments and ensure smooth transitions to administrative staff Conduct post-operative calls to check on patient recovery and reinforce care instructions Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience preferred X-Ray Certification required Current CPR certification Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset A proactive, organized, and patient-focused approach Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance 401(k) with company support Paid Time Off and paid holidays Competitive compensation based on experience Monthly bonus incentive Schedule Monday – Thursday: 7:40 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Occasional Friday: 7:40 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Why Asheville Dental Associates?
