JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with familiarity in medical terminology being advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus, as well as knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) for orthodontic applications.
  • A background in dental reception duties will be beneficial for managing front office responsibilities effectively.

DUTIES:

  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures
  • Help in ordering clinical supplies
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
  • Take and develop dental x-rays
  • Provide chairside assistance to the dentist
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage the office calendar
  • Perform dental receptionist duties as needed
    Experience:
    To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:
  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant
  • Ordering clinical supplement
  • Proficiency in AbelDent or similar dental software such as Open Dental
  • Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, CAD/CAM technology (such as CEREC), and medical terminology is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
