We are looking for two self-motivated Dental Assistant with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills to help deliver and promote our Dental Care Program. By providing dental services and dental health education to children enrolled in the Lac La Ronge Indian Band’s Dental Therapy Program. About the Organization: LLRIBHS promotes Dental Health services and Dental Health education to all community members of LLRIB. We work closely with the schools and other health organizations. Together with others, we work to build capacity and educate as we both address acute needs and the determinants of health.
About the position: Working within the Lac La Ronge Indian Band Schools you will prepare and assist the Dental Therapist / Dentist during dental procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Certified in Dental Assisting and registered (Or eligible for registration) with Saskatchewan Dental Assistants’ Association;
  • Strong organization skills & able to multi-task;
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team member;
  • Intermediate computer skills & experience using Microsoft Office;
  • Excellent verbal, written communication & public relation skills;
  • Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license & able to travel when required
  • Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset;
  • Ability to speak Cree is a definite asset
Responsibilities
  • Provide Fluoride Treatments to clients;
  • Provide instructions on oral hygiene (Brushing &flossing);
  • Booking and confirming appointments;
  • Document client records;
  • Provide infection control/sterilization and maintain a positive public relation with clients;
  • General office duties;
