JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a new graduate,dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic kid friendly dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within the dental field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Epic and Dentrix, is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records and appointments.
  • Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow efficiently, acting as a liaison between patients and the dental team.
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and treatment areas according to safety protocols.
  • Support orthodontic procedures by preparing materials and assisting with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tasks when necessary.
  • Provide assistance in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients.
  • Handle medical terminology accurately to communicate effectively with both patients and healthcare professionals.
