JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, but we welcome candidates with relevant training or certifications.
  • Familiarity with dental software systems Abeldent is highly desirable.
  • Experience orthodontics is a plus, enhancing our ability to serve diverse patient needs.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) can be beneficial for certain tasks within the practice.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
  • Assist Orthodontic Hygienist
  • Scan Patients using the Itero scanner
  • Take impressions , complete lab work when needed
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Maintain patient records accurately using Abeldent
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to ensure efficient office operations.
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the treatment area in compliance with safety protocols.
  • Support front office staff with administrative tasks when necessary, including answering phones and managing patient inquiries.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional patient care in a friendly environment.
