SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our friendly team at Selwyn Family Dental in Bridgenorth, Ontario. In this role, you will play a vital part in assisting our dental professionals with patient care and ensuring that our clinic runs smoothly. Your contributions will help us maintain our reputation for excellence in dental care.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role is required.
  • Familiarity with Abeldent software is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with patients of all ages.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in dental assisting or equivalent training is required.

Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary equipment.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Manage patient records using Dentrix software, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions.
  • Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.
