The NT Remote Locum Program (NTRLP) is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-led workforce program dedicated to strengthening healthcare services in remote communities across the Northern Territory. We are seeking experienced Dental Assistants to provide treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote NT communities. This locum-based role offers short-term placements where you will work on-site in remote clinics, delivering culturally safe, high-quality care in collaboration with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff. What You’ll Need: A Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or equivalent). A minimum of 12 months of relevant clinical experience. Current CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Evidence of recent CPD in Hand Hygiene, Infection Control and Sterilisation/ Introduction to reprocessing reusable Medical Devices in the past 12 months. Minimum of 6 months of relevant full-time clinical experience working as a dental assistant within the past 2 years.
