Description Oral & Facial Surgery of the Shoals is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. In this key clinical role, you will support our oral surgeons during procedures, help maintain a safe and efficient treatment environment, and ensure every patient receives outstanding care in a professional and welcoming setting. Responsibilities Assist the oral surgeon during a variety of oral and maxillofacial procedures to ensure smooth and efficient treatment. Prepare treatment rooms in accordance with established clinical protocols and safety standards. Maintain strict infection control procedures, including proper sterilization and organization of instruments and equipment. Capture high-quality diagnostic dental x-rays and scans as needed for patient evaluation. Provide patients with clear, supportive post-operative instructions and guidance on oral care. Accurately enter patient information, chart notes, and clinical documentation. Perform administrative and computer-based office tasks using dental software. Protect patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations. Requirements 1+ years of oral surgery or dental assisting experience preferred. 1+ years of customer service experience preferred, with a strong commitment to patient-first service. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with computer-based tasks and dental software. Professionalism, reliability, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
