Job Details Level: Entry Job Location: DENTAL CLINIC IDAHO FALLS - Idaho Falls, ID Position Type: Part-Time (Less then 30 hours) Education Level: High School / GED Salary Range: $18.62 - $18.62 Hourly Travel Percentage: Up to 25% Job Shift: Day Job Category: Health Care Description Regular Full Time Status: Non-Exempt / Hourly Essential Duties and Responsibilities (This is not an exhaustive list of all duties/responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned) Knowledge of customer service and ability to provide general clerical services, i.e.: greet the public, answer phones, purchase supplies, receive and stock inventory. Ability to multi-task, manage time, meet deadlines, and remain calm and professional under pressure. Maintain current knowledge of dental materials, dental procedures, and sterilization/disinfecting procedures. Maintain dental equipment, i.e.: hand pieces, operatories and evacuation units, radiographic equipment, and sterilization units. Prepare patients (vitals, x-rays, and paperwork), sterilize, and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, prepare materials, and assist dentist during dental procedures. Maintain cleanliness and perform break down of the exam room. Responsible for follow up on patient visits, including updating and reviewing patient information, proper encounter codes, proficient chart entries, and understanding of dental treatment planning. Potential for mucous membrane or skin contact exposure to blood, fluids, or tissue. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), when appropriate, is required. Some exposure to hazards or physical risks (i.e., Blood, Sharps, Needles), which requires following basic safety precautions. Will work with blood or blood-borne pathogens and will require knowledge and understanding of OSHA protocols. Maintain standards of confidentiality of CC Idaho clients and records Perform all work duties and activities in compliance with CC Idaho, Joint Commission, OSHA and HIPAA regulations. Qualifications Qualifications Required Graduation from an accredited school in dental assisting Basic computer skills Preferred One year experience as a dental assistant Ability to read, speak, and write in both English/Spanish in a business setting Required Physical Demands Is required to stand for long periods of time; must frequently walk; climb or balance, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; reach with hands and arms; grasping/holding. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Work Environment Work in an office setting; the work may be stressful; the noise level is moderate; may be exposed to electrical shock and fumes or airborne particles
