We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant / Receptionist to join our friendly team and contribute to the smooth operation of both clinical and front-desk duties.
About the Role:
This dual-role position involves both chairside assisting and front-desk reception responsibilities. The successful candidate will be comfortable working across both areas and capable of providing outstanding patient care and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

  • Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
  • Maintain and manage clinical equipment and stock levels
  • Support patient comfort and reassurance during procedures

Reception Duties:

  • Greet and assist patients in a professional and friendly manner
  • Schedule and manage appointments using dental practice software
  • Handle phone and email enquiries
  • Process payments, health fund claims, and manage patient records accurately
  • Maintain a clean and organised front desk area

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar dental assistant/receptionist role
  • Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (preferred)
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control protocols
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in dental practice software (Exact/SOE or similar preferred)
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented approach
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
