We are seeking a casual or full-time Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our friendly team. This is a dual role offering a balance between chair-side assistance and front desk management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior experience as a Dental Assistant or Receptionist is preferred.
  • Certificate III in Dental Assisting is highly advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Growth mindset and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Professional and compassionate attitude.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare treatment rooms at the start of each day and clean up the practice at closing.
  • Ensure sterilisation of dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols.
  • Assist our dentists during a variety of procedures, including general dentistry, orthodontics and dental implants.
  • Take and develop digital X-rays as needed.
  • Ensure patient comfort before, during and after procedures.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, updating dental charts and medical histories.
  • Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
  • Greet patients warmly, manage check-ins, and process patient registration forms.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments using practice management software.
  • Answer phone calls and address patient enquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Manage patient billing, health fund claims and payment processing.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and manage patient files with accuracy.
  • Ensure the reception area and clinic are clean, organised and welcoming.
