Company Description
Here at Lumino, we are made up of a talented team of professionals providing exceptional patient experience and dental care. With over 130 practices nationwide, we are the heart of every New Zealand community and want to ensure we are providing the highest standard of care to our patients & ongoing support to our clinicians.
Job Description
Lumino Mt Eden is a busy, patient-focused dental practice committed to providing high-quality care in a welcoming and professional environment. We are currently seeking a reliable and versatile dental assistant to join our team in an all-rounder role. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in contributing to both clinical and administrative areas of the practice.
In this role, you will be responsible for a combination of chairside assisting, sterilisation, and front desk duties depending on the needs of the practice. Clinical responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, assisting the dentist during procedures, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit. You will also manage sterilisation of instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols, restock treatment areas, and maintain cleanliness in line with safety standards.
On the administrative side, you will greet and assist patients, schedule and confirm appointments, manage payments, update patient records, and support daily reception tasks using dental practice management software. Your ability to multitask, communicate clearly, and work as part of a team will be essential to success in this role.
We are looking for someone with at least one year of experience in a dental setting, and a solid understanding of infection control. Familiarity with dental software such as EXACT is an advantage. Most importantly, we value a positive attitude, reliability, and a proactive approach to patient care.
This is a great opportunity to join a supportive team where your contributions are valued and your skills can grow. If you’re a motivated and adaptable dental assistant looking for a dynamic and rewarding role, we’d love to hear from you.
