Description

Private practice orthodontics office seeking a clinical Orthodontic Dental Assistant. Candidates should be friendly, positive, independent, organized, and professional. The position will require fast learning, exceptional teamwork, and strong inter-personal skills. General computer knowledge is helpful.

Flexible schedule available for working 2-4 days per week. Afternoon only shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the orthodontist during procedures by providing chair-side support.
  • Utilize 3D scanners, digital cameras, and X-ray equipment to capture dental images.
  • Ensure all dental instruments are properly sterilized and dental chairs are setup accurately for each patient procedure.
  • Maintain, manage, and update electronic patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Answer basic questions regarding orthodontic care and emergencies.
  • Provide backup coverage for answering phones and scheduling appointments as needed.

Preferred qualifications (but not required):

  • Orthodontic/dental assisting experience
  • DANB ICE (infection control) certification
  • RHS (radiology) certification
