REQUIREMENTS

  • Certification in Dental Assisting or equivalent from a recognized institution
  • Must be registered with the Singapore Dental Council (SDC)
  • Previous experience as a dental assistant in a clinical setting is an advantage (but not required)
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and under the guidance of the dentist
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Knowledge of infection control practices and dental hygiene protocols
  • Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn
Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist during clinical procedures, including preparation and sterilization of dental instruments
  • Prepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring hygiene and infection control standards are followed
  • Take patient X-rays, impressions, and dental records as required by the dentist
  • Provide patient care by ensuring comfort and offering support throughout procedures
  • Manage patient flow by preparing treatment plans, patient records, and coordinating appointments
  • Handle sterilization of instruments and ensure all dental equipment is in working order
  • Educate patients on proper dental care and hygiene practices as directed by the dentist
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and managing patient files
