Dental Assistant - Sundays and some evening hours required
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: This is a full-time, 40-hours per week job that must include Sundays (full-day) and 3-4 weekdays .
JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking friendly, committed, and dedicated Dental Assistants responsible for escorting and assisting patients within the center, assisting the physicians in the exam rooms, and setting up and maintaining the exam rooms with supplies and equipment for patient visits.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Escorts patients into dental treatment rooms and prepares patient and chart for the dentist.
• Sanitizes all surfaces of dental room, ensures the proper equipment is working, discards disposable supplies and instruments, and prepares instruments and additional supplies for dental care and treatment to be provided for the next patient.
• Performs and develops diagnostic x-rays and panoramic x-rays when necessary.
• Assists the dentist by handling instruments and other supplies, suctioning, irrigating, teeth impressions, as directed by the dentist.
• Dismisses patients when dental care and treatment is completed, providing any assistance to patients as needed.
• Cleans patient area of dental treatment room, removing instruments and supplies and ensuring that the room is ready for the next patient.
• Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies in each room.
• Responsible to perform suctions on rotational period.
• Maintains a professional appearance in accordance with company standards, including no visible facial piercings, visible tattoos, or unnatural hair colors (e.g., blue, green, etc.) during work hours.
