Leadership development isn't just an opportunity, it's our superpower. Your Role: As a Dental Assistant at the Good Shepherd, you will be an integral part of our patient care team. Your responsibilities will include: Exceptional Customer Service: Greet patients, address concerns, and guide them between waiting rooms and operatories. Patient Care within Scope of Practice: Take and develop dental x-rays, tend to patient needs, assist the dentist during procedures, and update patient records including medications and medical history. Operatory / Treatment Preparation: Sanitize and prepare operatories between patient encounters and set up instruments and equipment for treatments. Sterilization / Instrument Care Management: Sanitize and sterilize equipment and instruments as appropriate. EHR Documentation: Accurately document patient information and procedures in electronic health records. What We’re Looking For: High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid Registered Dental Assistant license in the State of Oklahoma. Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral.
Responsibilities
The Dental Assistant will provide patient care, assist the dentist during procedures, and manage the sterilization of instruments. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate electronic health records and preparing operatories for patient encounters.
