DUTIES MAY INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Greet patients and prepare them for treatment
• Mix materials for fillings; sterilise and prepare instruments
• Arrange and hand instruments, medication and dental materials to practitioners
• Prepare dental materials and develop x-rays
• Use suction devices and water sprays
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment
• May advise patients on dental health education and post-operative care
• May act as receptionist for dental practitioners, perform billing and other clerical tasks.
• Maintaining high standards of infection control
• Any other tasks requested by the host employer

A Dental Assistant works closely with patients and colleagues everyday and strives towards providing a positive experience for all. As a Trainee Dental Assistant, you’ll study dentistry techniques and perform general office duties, including a range of patient care and laboratory duties

• You will be working full time 38 hours per week while studying a Certificate III in Dental Assisting
• If successful, you will be gaining experience in the workplace with one of our host employers.
• Traineeship duration: 12 month
