JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice for every Wednesday 1pm till 7pm and first Friday of the month 1pm till 7pm, and every Sunday 10 am till 3pm (. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting our dental team with various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred; familiarity with ortho is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using dental software system, Tracker is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is beneficial.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records and managing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while providing compassionate care to patients.
  • Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
  • Experience as a dental receptionist is an advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care, including working with pediatric patients or in orthodontics as required.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and managing patient inquiries when needed.
